Venice
The Ancient Waterway to the World

How many times have you promised yourself a visit to the  magical city of Venice, the seat of Renaissance art? To walk its beautiful, tiny secret streets, to paint the ancient buildings along the canal and lagoon, to visit the city’s enticing stores filled with Murano glass, gold, silver and a cache of Italian products?

Venice has 150 canals and 409 bridges and was created in 431 by the people of the Veneto region after fleeing the barbaric invasions of the 5th an 6th centuries. Seeking refuge in this marshland, they built a series of floating villages, supported with wooden poles dug deep into the underneath soil which still holds up  the buildings, palaces and bridges that you see there today. To view its incredible majesty it’s best to see it from one of the vaporetti (water ferries) which circle the Grand Canal.

The legendary Lido side of Venice, the beach side, is blessed with its own individual  history and tranquil atmosphere. It is here that you will live and begin to share the richness of Venice. Enter this timeless realm of history and join this workshop now.  Artists at all levels of accomplishment are welcome. PLEASE REMEMBER, the workshop t is limited to 18 participants and enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis.
